ElevenLabs Voice Style
Define the use before auditioning voices: brand narration, advertising, customer-service audio and character performance need different qualities.
#Three decisions before selection
- Is the delivery reassuring narration or expressive advertising?
- Is this a single project or a recurring brand voice?
- Will listeners hear ten seconds or ten minutes?
#Voice sources
Default voices provide an official starting point. The Voice Library offers more options, with style and permission conditions to check. Cloning or voice design can support characters or long-term assets, subject to rights and consent.
Start by comparing two or three default/library voices rather than assuming cloning is necessary.
#Listen beyond realism
Check long sentences, numbers and English abbreviations, emotional restraint and consistency between segments. An impressive first sentence can become tiring over a longer recording.
Voice and model are separate choices: voice establishes character, while the model influences expression, stability and latency. The most expressive option may not suit real-time use, and the most theatrical voice may not suit long narration.
#A repeatable audition
Use the same four- to six-sentence script for each candidate. Include ordinary narration, a number or technical term, an obvious pause and a mild emotional change.
